Children do grow up really fast. So it’s only natural for their parents to capture their journey in photographs to be cherished for a life time.

But unfortunately in this mobile wielding era, everybody is a photographer. So you end but with mediocre photos of your little one. Then when the little one is not so little anymore he is more embarrassed then amused haa…

It is therefore best to leave the same to the professionals who understand the art of photography and someone who specialises in baby/child photography. This is because photographing children is different that photographing adults. One has to take it according to whims and fancy of the child. Many a times I had to cancel the shoot the shoot because the little one was not into his elements or was downright cranky. As a professional child photographer I understand and is ready to pitch in the extra hours.

My mantra for the shoot is pretty simple you let the child in you take over and don’t expect the child to behave like an adult and obey your commands or for that matter enact the poses you give. It should be playtime for the child. You would be amazed to see today’s toddlers actually smiling at the camera making your task that much easier.

It’s mostly candid’s for me. Capturing their innocence through the lens. Combination of indoor and outdoor makes for an interesting album. Bring in the parents for a frame or two and you have an interesting family portrait.

So let the cheesy line “Say cheese” be left to the grownups because they can learn a thing or two from the little one when it’s to facing the camera
